Round 12 Preview

Last Week           5/9           Season Total      68/98 I’m going to start this weeks ramble with a non-footy topic.   You might retort, “when has any of this crap been about footy.”   You also might be correct, but this is an important and alarming community notice.   It’s not a crackpot conspiracy theory, I have gathered genuine volumes of evidence to support my claims.   Here it is:   Punnets of Strawberries are not designed to be shared.   They are designed to weave distrust and disharmony into the fabric of our society.   This is a deliberate and reckless act manifested by what I’m calling “Big Farma” designed to plummet our species into an existential crisis.   The evidence I have gathered is irrefutable.   I have kept detailed records showing that a punnet of strawberries ALWAYS contains a prime number...

Round 11 Preview

Last Week           5/9           Season Total      63/89 Last week was one of those weeks of reflection.  I don’t just mean that there were a few upsets, and I didn’t score as well as I might have hoped.  It was a week when we were reminded that there are certainly more important things than football.  We lost both Robert Walls and Adam Selwood last week under similar, but different circumstances, both who had far reaching connections within many AFL clubs and their loss was both duly acknowledged and deeply felt by all of the AFL community.  Vale both Robert and Adam. As mentioned, it was a rough week for tipping last week with a number of upsets so let’s see if we can pull a couple back this week. Geelong vs Footscray     Kardinia Park      Thursday Night With all the smack that Bailey Smith has bee...

Round 10 Preview

Last Week           6/9           Season Total      58/80 In such a close round where many games were decided by a kick or less, I should be satisfied with getting 6 right?   However, I’m not, so have decided to take the Trump view of my tipping where I am always correct, regardless of any of these so-called facts you present.   In that spirit not only did I get 9 out of 9 and it was the greatest tipping ever by anyone ever, but I’d also like to point out that both India and Pakistan read my tipping last week and decided to de-escalate tensions on the back of it.   Not only that, but my preview also resolved a stalemate in the conclave, sorted out world hunger and disproved a whole bunch of facts were just fake news.   Not bad really, but not surprising, given how good I actually am.   I’ll get Putin and Netanyahu to read it this week an...

Round 9 Preview

Last Week           8/9           Season Total      52/71 The election has been run and won, called about 20 seconds after the booths closed.   That’s great and we don’t have to worry about that for another three years except deal with any fall out.   The Libs may need a bit of help getting in touch with the common man if they want a better showing next time.   But like footy, there is always a redemption story.   What the Libs need is a Ross Lyon type to give them a good public dressing down and then they can come back next time and get the rising star nominee.   What a stroke of brilliance.   No Pope yet, but I see that Trump has put in an application.   I’d say he might be good as he could really show the church how to monetise religion, but I think they’ve got a pretty good handle on that already. Willie Rioli has ...
