Round 6 Preview

Last Week           7/9           Season Total      31/44   Firstly, let’s talk about Rory McIlroy.  I got up at 2:30 AM Perth time to watch the final round live because I can’t trust Kayo to remember where I was if things went wrong.  I had planned to lightly doze while it was on in the background, but it was compelling viewing…even for golf.  Just when you thought he blew it, he would rally, then blow it again then rally again, only to blow it and rally again in the playoff.  It was great that Kayo did all that coverage.  But…I do still want to blast Kayo for the previous night.   I was watching Round 3 as a replay, and it was 10 hours in and McIlroy was just about to give an interview.   I sat down to watch intently but sat on the remote so it closed Kayo on me.   I was then faced with fast forwarding 10 hours b...

Round 5 Preview

Last Week           5/8           Season Total      24/35 It felt like one of those weekends when there just wasn’t enough time to watch much footy.   Not that much of it was exciting, although the Gold Cost/Adelaide match was a ripper.   But more on that later.   This week is Gather Round so the spotlight will be on Adelaide and the Barossa Valley with the idea that people will travel from all over the country to witness a capitulating succession plan firsthand.   Let’s have a closer look the matches…the first time all 9 games will happen since Round 1 (the second round). Adelaide vs Geelong      Adelaide Oval    Thursday Night The best thing about the AFL coming out and saying they got it wrong, and that Adelaide lost because of it, is it’s the second time it’s happened, and history shows us that it tak...

Round 4 Preview

Last Week           6/8           Season Total      19/27 I’ll start this intro off by taking a swipe at Kayo.  If you want to watch all the games live, then this is your only option.  Also, if you enjoy other sports, like golf, formula 1, car jitsu (that’s wrestling in car) then Kayo is also your go to.  Kayo knows a lot about me.  They keep all sorts of information on me.  Who I am, what my email address is, how to periodically take money from me without me having to know about it, and what I enjoy watching.  They keep all of this information and use it so that they can message me, email, harangue me, cajole me and make sure that I’m always thinking about them and thinking of ways I should be giving them more money.  But the one thing they don’t do, is remember where I got up to when watching 9 and half hours of golf.  A...
